President of the XXXV World Congress of Audiology
I sincerely invite you to attend the XXXV World Congress of Audiology (WCA) to the held in Warsaw in 2020.
Some of you may wonder whether you should be attending the WCA. While my recommendation may be biased, I strongly suggest that you consider this one. For those who have been long-term friends of the WCA and/or members of the International Society of Audiology, I invite you to come share the excitement with me, as always.
In addition to learning from the many scientific and clinical research papers, this year’s WCA will address three issues pertinent to the development of audiology around the World: audiological aspects of different hearing implants, the listening brain and international best practices in Audiology. The WCA holds exhibits that are similar in scope to many large conferences around the World and as a tradition, cultural element are embedded in our program. I hope you will take some time browsing the website to learn more.
This year, we will be presenting the Aram Glorig Oration to Professor Ross Roeser, who has not only be instrumental in the development of the International Journal of Audiology but also contributed greatly to the scientific world of audiology and making the World a better place for those with hearing loss. Ross will be addressing the Congress audience and I invite you to come celebrate this important moment.
Look forward to seeing you in Warsaw.
SincerelyLena L. N. Wong, Ph.D., CCC-A, FAAA, HKSA, HKIA
